KEMET Corporation relocated from Greenville, South Carolina to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, expanding its office by over 20,000 square feet. The organization specializes in producing surface mount and through-hole capacitor technologies, serving major electronics equipment manufacturers. Located in Fort Lauderdale’s central business district, KEMET’s new address was strategically selected for its proximity to a nearby international airport and walking distance to a train station and restaurants. The space also possesses amenities such as common areas for impromptu meetings, a café, and a fitness center.

Upon entry, the ground floor reception area is illuminated with Seem 2 LED Recessed luminaires in a custom pattern. The ceiling-to-wall integration of Seem 2 LED Recessed contributes to the clean, modern aesthetic and provides a glimpse into the rest of the space. ID+ 3.5" x 3.5" Downlights were also incorporated into a second reception lobby, delivering bright illumination and a broad distribution using a wide flood beam spread. Furthermore, Focal Point luminaires were also incorporated in the executive floor where a grid ceiling with Equation 2 architectural troffers mimics the square pattern of the blue and gray carpet, bolstering the modern aesthetic.
