Connecting, a clear theme of SRG Partnership’s new office. The Portland, Oregon based design firm sought a local space that would remedy the issues of its old office with a variety of designated personal and group areas. When an opportunity to reside in the former home of The Oregonian, the oldest continuously published newspaper on the West Coast arose, the organization saw its potential to create a more connected environment. The vacant, open space served as a blank canvas to explore new design ideas and to create a space that contributes to advancing the company’s culture and commitment to design excellence, sustainability, and health and wellness.

Beyond employee connectivity, the first-floor facility overlooks a busy downtown street allowing for visibility and connectedness to the local community. Lined with 24-foot-tall windows, an abundance of natural light flows through the space. Supplementing the sunlight are Nera linear luminaires, blending seamlessly with the high exposed ceiling to provide general illumination.
