Gryo, a rapidly expanding global advertising agency counts offices in 15 cities, all designed to pay homage to their respective city’s history and culture. As a partial floor build-out in the historic Wrigley Building, Gryo’s Chicago office interior incorporates elements inspired by Chicago’s past while also supporting its workplace style, where open collaboration fosters the best thinking: “No offices. No barriers. No limits”.

A large reception hub is flanked on one side by a wall made of old barn wood, charred black, reminding visitors of the Great Chicago Fire of 1871. The other side features a bookcase with elements that mimic the Chicago grid system - all lit by the vertical distribution of Avenue A. Its Matte White finish blends seamlessly into the open ceiling, providing unity with the classic black and white color palette of the space. A subtle statement with its petite profile, Dart linear suspended luminaires hang above flexible workstations to add to the collaborative environment.
